the nursery – inspiration

I always knew what type of nursery I’d like for a baby. Something sophisticated, nothing too baby-ish. Something modern, cool. Nothing traditional or conventional. Neutral and bold colors, lot of patterns, cute accesories. And of course something functional and practical at the same time.

As soon as we found out we were expecting I started looking for inspiration around the web. And I definitely found it! Colorful, playful, bold, modern, edgy, cool but also relaxing, beautiful spaces for the little ones all over.

And soon I had some design ideas. I knew I wanted modern striped walls (or ceiling), a classy chairail, chalkboard paint, a cozy rug, natural roman shades, colorful patterns and white furniture. The next step was deciding on a color scheme and a theme. But that will need another post.

Aren’t all these nurseries just stunning and full of color? I’d like to live there if I were a baby!
