13. Favorite (or most prized) possession (must be an object, not including photos)
My engagement and wedding rings. At the beginning I felt a little strange wearing these rings I have to say. I normally don’t use rings. Very rarely. But now I can’t be without them! The few times I took them off I felt strange, like something was missing. They represent the love and commitment the mister and I pleaded to each other. They are part of me now and I do everything, everything, with them on. Good thing we have lifetime cleaning services!
14. Favorite holiday
Christmas! And no, not because of all the shopping. In my home country we don’t have Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, it’s just Christmas and Christmas to me is about family. I always remember our Christmas gatherings when I was a little kid, with all my aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents. It was a special night to get together, celebrate and give thanks we have each other. We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving in my home country either so Christmas is our time to give thanks.
15. Favorite gift you’ve ever received or given (life doesn’t count)
I’ll refer strictly to material objects. A necklace the mister gave me for Valentine’s Day 2009. It’s a little silver chain with a heart pendant that I love and use all the time. (sorry couldn’t take a picture of it!)
Hi Nadia!
I am the exact same way…I never take my rings off. I’m so attached!
As for a tutorial for the nursery bookshelves, honestly, we just kind of “did it” and made it up as we went. We just used a 1 x 4 for the bottom and then cut trim with a miter saw for the other three sides. If you have any specific questions I’d be more than happy to answer them. = )
Thanks for stopping by my blog!
